How to plan your daygame trip?
Over the last years, I have experimented with many daygame trips to figure out the best habits to adhere to based on my own experience. These are the rules that work best for my own personality and circumstances. Depending on your own situation, you might have to change a couple of things here and there but I believe the broad lines should remain valid for most of you.
When planning a daygame trip, there are four aspects to consider:
- Destination: Which city should you consider for your trip?
- Dates: how to pick the right days for you to arrive and leave?
- Duration: For how long should you stay in the city?
- Accommodation: Where should you book your accommodation?
In this post, I shall address the aforementioned questions individually so that hopefully by the end of this post, dear reader, you will have a clear idea and a plan of attack for your next trip.
Select your destination
This is pretty basic stuff that has been extensively discussed by fellow daygamers. The population of your ideal daygame city should be around 1 million. The actual population of people living there does not matter. What is really relevant for a daygamer is the number of people dwelling in the city at any time, including those who are living in nearby cities. A good example is Frankfurt, a city with an official population of 700k. Being a central city in the area and a global financial hub, it draws huge numbers of people from cities around it as well as from all over the world, increasing the effective population to above the minimum 1 million. For this reason, Frankfurt, a pretty small city on paper, is a pretty decent daygame city.
The second factor is related to the kind of girls you find in the city of your choice. You should consider the cities that have the girls you find most attractive (I know it’s a no-brainer). You should, however, also consider your relevance to the girls in that city. For instance, many of my Indian friends have a much harder time in countries like Germany but find their Indian heritage playing to their advantage in countries like Poland or Croatia. If you choose a city based on the “you can have any girl” mentality, you’ll be playing on uneven grounds. Having that spirit does help you to a certain degree in your own city but remember for your daygame trips, you have a choice so why not choose a place where you have the best odds. I already wrote about this here.
Last, I want to add something about smaller cities. While they are usually shunned by daygamers, I must say I had one of my coolest daygame trips in smaller cities. Last year, I spent a couple of days in Iași, a smaller student city in the north of Romania right at the border to Moldova, and had very good results. While it is true that the volume was not that high for practice, seasoned daygamers might find such cities very interesting. The fact that such small cities haven’t yet been swamped by tourists or foreigners enhances your exotic vibe. Girls in these cities are not used to meeting foreigners, giving you a nice and healthy boost. This is especially good if the city has a university, meaning that their English is more than good enough for daygame. Again, I wouldn’t advise beginners to visit small cities but if you are already intermediate or advanced, go ahead and try it. You will be surprised by the results you would get there.
Pick your dates
If you have to make a choice and can't travel much, focus on times when the weather is most propitious to daygame. For Europe, I find spring and autumn to be the best seasons. In moderate weather, the girls are still out on the streets, but you don't have to endure the extreme heat waves of the summer. I personally find it harder to walk around for daygame when the weather is extremely hot. This, however, is by no means a strong factor. I did trips during the summer and the winter with very good success too. In this case, you just might have to adapt your routines a bit. For the winter, I would consider starting a bit early and put more focus on indoor locations such as train stations, shopping malls or coffee shops. In the summer, indoor locations are still good but you can also do slightly late sessions when the weather cools down. I find that my gutter game gets much better results in the summer.
For my first daygame trips, I did what most people do: fly in on a Friday to enjoy the weekend there and flying back on a Sunday. After that I started flying in on Saturday and also leaving on a Saturday. This had the benefit of much cheaper flight prices. However, the issue then was that I didn’t have enough good days to number farm. My observation was that Monday and Tuesday are the worst in terms of volume and general street vibe. So, I decided to avoid these days for my number farming. My current rule is to fly in any day of the week as long as Monday or Tuesday are not overlapping with my number farming days (appr. 3 to 4 days). Leaving is mostly a matter of ticket prices so I have no special rules there.
What's your timeframe
The next thing you want to consider is the duration of your trip. If you have a limited number of vacation days, you have to plan wisely the duration of your stays. Judging by my experience lately, I suggest at least a 10-days stay. If you can do more it’s better, but you have to be careful to not overdo it and spend the rest of your trip not doing much. I find my sweet spot to be around 3 to 4 weeks before I start getting tired of pickup. Staying much longer than that means that you'll have off phases where you don't do much before getting motivated enough again. Usually it is around this time where you start getting regulars coming over for sex and just enjoying doing "girlfriend/boyfriend" activities with them.
The ideal daygame trip starts with some number farming days where you spend most of the day doing daygame. I would plan at least 4 to 6 hours of daygame with a special focus on late afternoon to catch girls leaving work or university. After the number farming, you can ease down a bit and do one session a day of about at least 2 hours as you would be doing back home. The idea behind this is to avoid a burnout. I have been many times in situations where I overdid it and was completely exhausted by the end of the trip. It is fine to go berserk in the first days but you definitely need to cool it down later on. You can look at it in this way: daygame is a marathon. The number farming is required to get you the best possible starting position in the run, later on you have to manage your stamina while keeping up with your progress before finally engaging in a final sprint where you go for more same day lays (SDLs) and try to pull the trigger faster than you would otherwise.
To help with a potential pick up burnout, I highly advise you to also consider doing other activities other than daygame after your number farming. I won’t go into too much details about this as I will publish a post in the future about how to exactly structure your daygame routine.
Choose your accommodation
Now that you have decided on your target city, dates and length of your trip, it is time to think about where you will establish your base of operations.
Depending on your budget and duration of stay, you have the following options:
- Hostels: this is the cheapest option and I would advise you to avoid it if you can. The main reason is privacy. There is nothing worse than getting denied a sure lay just because the hostel you booked does not allow guests. On the other hand, it is still possible to get laid if you book one of the few single rooms they sometimes have.
- Hotels: Hotels are the logical next choice. It’s pretty similar to Hostels but offer more luxury and probably also more privacy. Although some hotels can be still pretty stingy with their no guests policy, it's definitely an upgrade compared to Hostels.
- Airbnb: Airbnbs are just perfect for daygamers. You get a flat for yourself, mostly for a reasonable price. In my experience, Airbnbs are about as expensive as hotels maybe with less luxury and service. If you have the funds for it, this is the best option.
- Rent: I added this option just in case you plan to stay longer. In that case, I would either look for real rental flat or maybe try to find an arrangement with the Airbnb owner to get a monthly discount.
I usually start by checking the best daygame locations. These are usually the shopping areas with a lot of pedestrian traffic. You can, for instance, look at these areas in Google maps. Places with a lot of pedestrian traffic are marked yellow and sometimes show a high pedestrian traffic symbol. That should be your hint for a good location. In general, you want your accommodation to be central and close to your date venues. There is nothing worse than having to bounce a girl to your place in a taxi or even worse a bus (I’ve done this before but it’s a very risky business). Taxi bounces are alright if the ride does not take too long but always try to go for an accommodation that you can just walk to. Ideally, the bounce should not take longer than 10-15 minutes. Through trial and error, I found it to be the longest duration of bamboozling you can afford on the final bounce. Anything longer and you run the risk of bursting the bubble and having the girl back off on you.
To wrap it up, planning a proper daygame trip comes down to four things: picking the right city, choosing the right dates, staying for the right amount of time, and choosing the right accommodation. If you get these things right, the rest is just execution. Of course, everyone’s circumstances are different, so you’ll have to adapt a bit here and there, but the overall structure remains the same. Keep experimenting, keep refining, and with every trip you’ll get sharper and more efficient.
